In March this year, the Lib Dem run District Council at South Cambs won the Silver award in the Greening Public Service category of the iESE Public Sector Transformation Awards 2022. In recognition of the huge changes that have taken place since residents placed their confidence in us and gave us the majority vote to take control of the Council. Actions speak louder than words. Have a look at the difference between the previous administration and since 2018 when Lib Dems took over:

Second national accolade for South Cambs just announced in the MJ Achievement Awards:

We are so honoured and excited to have just received the news that we have also been selected as national finalists in the category of ´Leadership in the face of the Climate Emergency´ in the The MJ Awards 2022 – alongside giants like Manchester City Council. The MJ Awards Ceremony is one of the biggest events within the public sector calendar. We await the final decision by the jury to find out whether we get a bronze, silver or gold award. We have been selected because of the political leadership by the Lib Dems together with the vision and mainstreaming of climate change across all departments and decisions within the Council. And for the vision to tackle both the climate and Nature emergencies together. The MJ is the Municipal Journal, the UK’s leading weekly magazine for decision-makers in local authorities and allied sectors.
