So proud to be at the Awards for Public Sector Transformation, together with Ellie, our Climate Change and Environment Officer, on behalf of all officers, councillors and residents who have supported our ambitious policies because this is a truly joint effort.

Actions speak louder than words – and South Cambridgeshire District Council has been recognised for leadership, passion and teamwork in the green transformation acrooss all areas of the Council. ‘Green to our Core’ is about everyone in the Council seeing what their area can do about the climate and nature emergencies and a fair and just transition for everyone in our communities that also tackles fuel poverty and right to a warm home, air quality, reducing food waste and single use plastics, increasing access to green space and greater connectivity and opportunity for protecting and enhancing biodiversity. All this being done in partnerships with our Parish Councils and communities, too, through our hugely popular Zero Carbon Communities and Green Connect network working with Parish Councils and community groups around the district.
