I am the county councillor for Histon and Impington, a division which also includes the King’s Meadow and Orchard Park. I was first elected in 2005 when I was one of two councillors for a wider area which also included Cottenham. The current arrangement is for more sensible.
I have lived in Histon since 1997 and run my own business, i2i-management.com, from home. I have enjoyed a varied career which has taken me around the world before returning to the UK. I have worked in the oil & gas and chemicals industries and in production line capital goods. My functional specialty is marketing.
I am a trustee at the Morris Education Trust which is responsible, inter alia, for Impington Village College, and a member of Histon & Impington Parish Council which I used to chair.
I have been a county councillor since 2005 and was leader of the Lib Dem group on the Council for three years up to April 2010. I am a member of the General Purposes, Highways & Community Infrastructure and Commercial & Investments Committees and of the Health Committee which I chaired from 2015 to 2017.
My interests include travel, eating and drinking well and all sports, especially Welsh rugby.
