
On July 27, 2025, District and County Councillors for Histon Impington and Orchard Park met with Police and Crime Commissioner Darryl Preston to discuss safety concerns in the Histon & Impington electoral ward. The meeting focused on current police efforts, community feedback, and areas needing attention, including the Busway, Kings Meadow and Orchard Park. PCC Preston reported that neighbourhood policing teams are active, but more reports from residents are needed to enhance intelligence-led policing.

Community concerns highlighted issues like anti-social behaviour, bike thefts, and youth engagement. The importance of bridging police and youth services was emphasized, alongside the need for positive media messaging about youth initiatives.
